Hello there Fancy Pants Fans!! I hope you all are having as fantastic day as I am! It’s always a good day when I’m up here on the Fancy Pants Designs Blog!! As you guys know the world is full of all different kinds of designs inspiration and when you start looking for it in your own life you’ll find that it’s absolutely everywhere!! When it comes to inspiration the very first place I always check out is, you all know it, Pinterest! A great place to look for inspiration on pinterest is in the design and homes décor categories!
The inspiration for my layout came from this image, that I saw on this fantastic blog and I just loooveeed the feel of that full-page layout on the right. I love the simplicity and the cleanness of this wedding album and I wanted to translate it into my layout.
and this my friends is what I came up with...
Memories Captured Panorama Paper / Cream Alpha Stickers / What A Wonderful Day Mingled Brads / Square Cork Label Stickers / 1/2 Inch Star Stickers / Etcetera Clips / Pattern Stencil Set / Park Bench Label Stickers / Park Bench Sticker Fundamentals
I loved using a full page for part of a layout! I’m not going to lie, I hardly every do double page layouts so when I got my assignment, I was a little worried. In fact I made an entire double page layout before this one that I hated! I’m just not in the habit of having so much space, so when I saw that wedding album, I was so excited to start over and do something fun and new!
I love using the stencil sets as masks for misting like I did for the polka dots on the upper left hand side of this page! So easy to do and I love the look!
I’m a huge fan of wood grain paper and this teal one from the Memories Captured line is FANtastic! I love it, and I was really excited to use it because not only is it teal one of my favorite colors but I thought it would compliment the brown of the door in my picture. My layout was feeling a little dark and heavy so I wanted to make sure the paper I picked would be lighter and softer.
I try really hard to keep it real and have the titles and journaling as close as possible to how I normally talk everyday. I want to remember the real me not just the parts I pick and choose to scrapbook about. That’s why I like throwing in hashtags in my scrapbooking once in a while. I use them quite often when I’m instagramming and facebooking.
P.S. those cork pieces?? love them!
Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to keep it real !!
