Hello Fancy Pants Designs fans!
Today I'm going to show you how to use one sketch for layout and card. There are three equal elements on both of these projects - layers, tags and banners.
Let's start from LO. I used for it Turquoise Corrugate Paper, contrast yellow and than neutral papers for the layered background.
Turquoise Corrugate Paper / Fountain / Flower Garden / Bridge / Brag Pad / Decorative Bag / Decorative Tags / Banner Die Cuts / Stickers Fundamentals / Label Stickers / Patterned Photo Frames / Title Pieces / Button Set / Artistis Edition 3x3 Shapes Stensil Set
For the main central element with photo I chose yellow and aqua papers that match this photo most. I adhered photo to the mat from Title Pieces pack and than covered it with one of the Photo Frames. I also added paper from Brag Pad, Decorative Bag and put two tags in it for journaling. There are also stickers, button and cloud die cut as embellishments.
Banners are one of the basic elements on the sketch, so I used large ones for this layout. I also added blue and yellow inks to the background.
Here you can see lightness of the elements. This reminds me of warm days and light breeze.
I planned to use a journaling beneath the photo, but as I created this layout for a friend about her son I just use this phrase on sticker. I wanted to pay attention to the corrugate background, so I punched two circles of the different size, added a sentiment and a button to join them together. This is what my card is missing although both of the project created with the help of one sketch.
For the card I used the main element from the sketch: layers, tags and banners and created a pretty cluster from them and some other stuff.
Posh / Banner Die Cuts / Brag Pad / Felt Flowers / Decorative Tags / Ephemera Pack
For the background I chose a piece from Brag Pad which looked like three layers of paper but was flat. I cut the inner part of it with chevron and white space inside, adhered it to dark blue paper and joined with the first part from which I cut at the beginning. Now it looks more layered, doesn't it?
As a central element I used photo frame, tags, banners, die cut and felt flower. You can also see a sentiment on the frame.
Thanks for joining me today on the Fancy Pants Designs blog! Hope you find this sketch easy to use and I'll be looking forward to your creations!
