Halloween pages always come alive with colors like orange, violet, teal, and hot pink. One of my favorite things to do when working on Halloween pages is to use white as my base. It takes all of the Halloween colors and makes it pop up the page because of the contrast in color.
Fancy Pants supplies:
Oct. 31: patterned papers
Oct. 31: Rub-ons
Oct. 31: Chipboard Banners
Oct. 31: Buttons
For this particular layout, I took out my Fancy Pants Oct. 31 rub-ons and used it to add design and color to my layout. The color rub-ons work beautifully with white. But what about the white rub-ons? It’s perfect on white too ... as a mask!!
Here is the white flourish rub-on applied on white cardstock ...
Here it is again after I inked it with lilac and orange inks.
The white rub-on acts as a mask, allowing the paper to absorb the colors of the inks while protecting the part covered with the rub-ons. Now you can see it pop up the page!
Gorgeous layout Iris!
