Hello everyone! I got excited very much when Fancy Pants' new products were open to the public. I was especially glad because there were the flowers in new release. I love flowers! I made a large flower that matched to those new release flowers, and I want to share the procedure for making the layout that uses it.
Fancy Pants Supplies:
It's the Little Things: Bird Cage patterned paper
It's the Little Things: Feathered patterned paper
It's the Little Things: Shuffle patterned paper
It's the Little Things: Rub-ons
It's the Little Things: Glitter Cuts
It's the Little Things: Journal Embellishments
It's the Little Things: Design Embellishments
It's the Little Things: Buttons
It's the Little Things: Chipboard Elements
It's the Little Things: Chipboard Banners
It's the Little Things: Trim
Artist Edition: Chipboard Alphas Black
Other Supplies:
sewing machine
needle and thread
flower shape - die cut, punched or hand cut
leaves shape - die cut, punched or mask
black ink and ink blending tool
black acrylic paint
pencil
dry and liquid adhesives
foam adhesive
masking tape
Instructions:
1. Rub-ons are cut according to the size of each button and then applied to the buttons.
2. Cut or punch 2 flowers from patterned papers. (I cut these flowers on my die cutting machine.) Those flower are made wrinkled.
3. Two paper flowers are overlapped and attached together with adhesive. Then, the trim is adhered to the center of the flower with liquid adhesive.
4. Let's sew a button with a needle and thread in the center of the flower. The flower is completed.
5. The patterned papers for the base are cut, and embellishments and the photos are put in place temporarily while confirming the balance of the layout.
6. Lightly draw the string of banners where you would like them to be, using a pencil. This line is sewn back with the sewing machine.
7. Die cut of leaves shape (or a mask) is fixed on paper with the masking tape. Next, paint a black color around the leaves with ink.
8. A black acrylic paint is painted on hard paper and is used to paint on the edge of the patterned papers.
9. The lines that were drawn with the pencil is sewn and the edges of paper are sewn. (I dared to sew the edge of paper coarsely.)
10. I then glued the photographs and paper and embellishments together and the layout is complete!
Because It's the Little Things line is not too sweet, I think it's suitable also for boys layout. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for stopping by.
