Mabuhay from Manila, Philippines! I'm Janis Medina-Maghinay and I still can't believe I'm designing for Fancy Pants! I am big on using color on my projects so I always reach out for Fancy Pants yummy products! I have been scrapbooking since April 2008, I love that it gave me a new passion and a more profound perspective on life.
Q: What is your favorite technique?
A: I love fussy cutting - I always look for patterns and designs to cut in my papers. I also love to layer and add dimension to my pages.
Q: What kind of scrapper would you consider yourself to be?
A: Meticulous and versatile. My style can very much adapt to the papers and embellishments that I design with although a play on bold and bright colors usually stands out on my pages (hence the moniker Ms. Bold and Bright among my scrappy friends!). I have a penchant for elaborate layouts - I sooooo love to add details and layers and a lot of other elements on my pages!
Q: What are some goals you have for yourself, scrap-related or personal?
A: I want to go to CHA! The family is building our house this year (I'm finally going to have my own room totally devoted to my scrapbooking - yay!) so all our funds and efforts are concentrated on that. Who knows what 2012 might bring, right? I sooooo want to go!
Q: What do you listen to or watch while scrapbooking?
A: I usually scrapbook at night time, when everyone is sleeping. No radio or TV for me!
Q: If someone was to walk into your scrap room/area right now, what would they find?
A: A huge long table with all my tools and paper organizers on top. Countless boxes on top of bigger boxes (for all my DT assignments) on the floor. Still can't find the time to purge - I have locked my hubby out of my scrap room for fear that he might do it for me! LOL!
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
A: The secret to being able to create a lot of pages (I averaged 16 layouts in a month in 2010!) is having a patient and understanding hubby who puts the kids to sleep when mommy wants to scrap (I love you Dad!). ;o)
p.s. Be sure to come back later this afternoon to see another Winter Release PEEK, that's out of this world!
Beautiful Janis : )
