We may be headed into the Halloween weekend, but here on the Fancy Pants blog, love is in the air! Check out these sweet projects from our design team using the new Love Birds collection...and be prepared to fall in love with this gorgeous new line!
Made With Love by Amy Peterman
Amy says, “I am in love with this collection! To create the background for my layout, I cut several sections from the Strips paper using decorative scissors and then layered them as I stuck them down. I also cut one of the banners from the Kissame paper and inserted two small photos as part of the banner. And ... I just had to use the owls sticker from the Elements Sticker Sheet. It’s so cute and worked perfectly with these photos. I adhered the sticker so the edge would run off the side of the layout and then trimmed the excess, which I used at the top of my layout for the date.”
I Love You by Brenda Hurd
Brenda says, "I punched the hearts out of the patterned paper and sewed them to the bottom for a fun border."
Froggie by Cindy Tobey
When I saw the frog on the Kissame paper I knew it would be perfect for these photos of my husband and me at the park. I cut out the frog and various flags to create a multi colored flag banner. Amy and I were thinking alike because I also added two smaller pictures to my banner! I cut some strips from the Strips paper and layered them with various Fancy Pants trims for a colorful border at the bottom of my page. I really love the bright colors and fun patterns of this new collection!
Bird House by Greta Hammond
Greta says, "This new Love Birds line is adorable! It screamed birdhouse to me so I decided to add little goodies to this gem. The papers provided a lot of fun cut-outs and I love the little bird characters so I cut one out and added her to the front of the house. I also included a bit of raffia for texture and to look like a bird's nest!"
Love ur Style by Vicki Chrisman
Vicki says, "I was so excited when I saw this new 'Love Birds' line. The colors and design are just so happy and cheerful. I knew right away just what new photo I wanted to use to create a layout with this paper. Something fun, and funky. A layout with a 'love' theme, but with a twist. Of course this line is perfect for a layout using a 'couples' photo...but there are so many other possibilities. I have ideas for altered projects just swimming through my head.
For this layout, I started with my basic layout design, and then went back and added some of the fun sticker elements. Finishing up with hand stitching, and buttons and clips for embellishments. I cut some free form flower shapes out of the 'Sweetheart', and 'Loves Me, Loves Me Not' papers. I edged them with glitter and layered them to create the dimensional flower. I love this fun and whimsical new line!"

Great ideas ladies!!! I love blues and browns and the Hot Chocolate collection delivers in a big way, will be soooo fun to work with. BUT, there is just something about that big tree in Love Birds that inspires me. It's a close call but I think its LOVE BIRDS, final answer!
