This week's Fancy This project is from Jolene Pienaar. She's made this pretty flower album. Here's what she has to say about it...
"Handmade flowers are all the rave at the moment. I keep on finding the most gorgeous looking flowers and try them out, but weeks later, when I want to recreate them, I can’t remember how and can’t find them online again. So I decided to start making myself a little flower technique book, so that when I’m in the mood to create some flowers, I can simply flip through my book, pick the one I like and follow the steps in order to recreate them! Because I didn’t want to spend forever making this book (I have loads of photos to scrap instead of course) I decided to use one of the Fancy Pants Notebook Journals as my mini album. Way too easy and I got this together in no time. I left some pages blank so I can keep adding as I find more and more ideas online. Of course you could always just do a normal photo mini album, or it would make a great little recipe book for quick and easy meals or deserts."
Instructions:
1. As my album turned into a pretty bulky album I decided to take out the spiral bound that the Notebook Journals come in and replace them with some ring binders. It is very easy to do and if you work carefully you won’t need to readjust the pages, you can simply slide some rings in place. (Of course if you are just doing a normal photo mini album and your embellishments aren’t too bulky, you can just keep the spiral in place and save yourself from doing that step.)
2. Next I simply created some complete flowers and recreated a few steps if need be and wrote out my steps in the book. It is really quick and easy.
3. Lastly pop your front page out of the rings and simply decorate as desired and pop back in place.
Wonderfull ! thank you

What a fantastic idea! I may need to lift this idea--my memory is horrible! If I don't write something down, I immediately forget it! Lovely little book!

I love this idea. Seeing how I have boys I don't get to make too many flowers. I love the idea and I will definitely lift it. How do you make the blue one on the cover? That is my favorite one.

What a great idea...and an 'instruction book' never looked so cute! What about the 2 flowers on the cover?? How did you make those? Love the 'shabby' green one on the left!
