Where are you on your Christmas shopping? Do you have all of your gifts purchased or made, wrapped and ready to give? If not, or even if you do, Anne Jo Lexander has a fun little gift idea that you are sure to want to try! She's created a card that is kind of like a mini box and sized it to hold two bags of flavored instant coffee. This would even make a great topper for a larger wrapped gift! See below for the details.
Supplies
Christmas Magic: Merriest Tale paper
Christmas Magic: Strips paper
Christmas Magic: Rub-Ons
Happy Holidays: Ric Rack
Red gem
mini letter stickers
cream & red cardstock
circle punch
hole punch
bone folder
2 small bags of hot cocoa or instant flavored coffee
Instructions
1. Measure your cocoa/coffee bags to determine the size to make your card. Use Anne Jo's diagram as is or resize to fit your own cocoa/coffee bags.
2. Use the diagram to cut your card from the cream cardstock.
3. Score and fold.(See diagram)
4. From the strips paper, cut out a 6x6" and 5x5" square. Mount the smaller square on red cardstock with the strips-side face up. Sew along the strips w/a zigzag stitch to make it look like you actually pieced different strips of paper together.
5. Apply the rubon over this square as shown to unify the different strips together. Add a gemstone to the middle of the flower rub-on.
6. Add the 6x6" piece from the strips paper, dots side up, to the cover of the card. Machine stitch as shown along the edge. You may prefer to add the stitching to the 6x6 square before adhering it to the card.
7. Add the 5x5 piece to the front of the card, using foam adhesive.
8. Measure and cut a piece of Merriest Tale patterned paper for the inner flap. Ink the edges, adhere and use your circle punch to make two half circles.
9. Punch two holes on each side and thread the ribbon through, securing the bags & tie the ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by everyone and thanks Anne Jo for the fun gift idea!

A gift can express the emotions that even words may not be able to portray. Christmas gift ideas vary for each age of recipient. I like this great Christmas gift idea.
