Our very own Jodi Sanford made an appearance on Studio 5 yesterday (our local television station), so of course we have to share it with all of you! She shows some great ideas for using adorable, easy-to-make, paper ruffles.

My Craft Channel + Giveaway!

Today is our final Fancy Pants & Tombow blog hop post. We're ending with some gorgeous projects from Pocket Chicks, Greta Hammond and Suzanne Sergi!

Birdhouse by Greta Hammond

Greta says, "I used the Power Adhesive Tabs to attach the birdhouse to the round box. I also used them to adhere my paper flowers to the project. The 3D Foam tabs came in handy to attach the chipboard bird to the house and make him stick out a bit more."

A Little Birdie by Greta Hammond

Greta says, "I used the Power Adhesive Tabs to attach the paper flower to the card. They give a good strong hold without tearing the flowers in the process!"

You make me Smile by Suzanne Sergi

Suzanne says, "I have been wanting to create a mini for my oldest daughter, Gabriela! I want her to know how special she is to me. I love all the little things about her, and her personality. It's the Little Things was just perfect for documenting all of the details."

"I wanted to tuck my journaling inside of envelopes. In the past, I have always had to close the flap of the envelope with a button. Of course, this is a fabulous way to do this. However, I am in love with Tombow Hook and Loop Tabs!! I am so happy to discover them, and they are so easy to apply to your projects. Now I can embellish the flap of the envelope, and have the loop tabs underneath! So easy, and they hold everything in its place! You can pull them apart so easily, and it makes it easy for my daughter to read everything I love about her!"

Lisa says, "I used the Tombow Fastener Tabs to hold the bottom flap of the card closed. The fastener tab allows the card to open and close as many times as needed. I also used a Power Adhesive Tab to attach the spaceship chipboard so that it would have an extra strong hold for repeated card opening and closing. The 3D Foam Tabs were used to attach the star glitter cut to add a little dimension to the card."

Fancy Pants & Tombow Blog Hop

Be Still My Heart by Amy Peterman

Amy says, "I used The Craft Collection 3D Foam Tabs (which come in assorted packs with small and large tabs) to add dimension to the hearts along the edge of my design. I hand cut some hearts and layered them, sandwiching a small foam tab in between a larger and a smaller heart. The heart used in my title is from the It’s The Little Things: Elements Stickers. I applied the heart sticker to cardstock, trimmed around it and then adhered it to my layout using the large foam tabs. I LOVE the dimension the foam tabs add to my layout!"

 

A Little Birdie by Jen Martakis

Jen says, "I used the Tombow Foam Tabs to add dimension to my card. I love that their Foam Tabs come in two different sizes. I used the larger size for this particular project but the small ones will come in very handy. I usually have to cut other brands of foam tabs in half for smaller projects. I just love that I don't have to take that extra step with Tombow."

Jen says, "I used the Power Tabs by Tombow to attach the flowers and buttons in this layout. I love that they are so strong and easy to use. Some adhesives are hard to use with paper flowers because of tearing and such. The Power Tabs were perfect to use here."

Perpetual Celebrations Calendar

We have a fun treat for you today!  Amber Packer, a great friend of Fancy Pants, created this fabulous Perpetual Celebrations Calendar book to present on one of our local TV shows, Good Things Utah.  Maybe you saw it on the show this morning. If not, we'll soon have a video link here. Below you can already see the calendar book and instructions!  PLUS, Amber has provided printable pdf versions of the calendar dates that you will need to make your own! (Find them in the supply list below.)

Supplies:

1 – Fancy Pants Daily Grind Printed Chipboard Shapes
1 – Fancy Pants Celebrate rub-ons
1 – Fancy Pants Double Alpha rub-ons
1 – Fancy Pants Daily Grind Breaktime paper (8 ¼ x 8)
2 – Fancy Pants Daily Grind Chalkboard paper (1 – 8 ¼ x 12 & 1 – 8 ¼ x 8)
1 – Fancy Pants Daily Grind Sparkle paper (8 ¼ x 12)
1 – Fancy Pants Daily Grind Strips paper
1 – Fancy Pants Daily Grind Office Space paper (7 ¾ x 8)
1 – Fancy Pants Green Frame Glitter Cut
1 – 14” piece Daily Grind Woven Ribbon
1 – 8” piece Delight Blue Ball Trim

Download 29 day calendar
Download 30 day calendar
Download 31 day calendar
TIPS: To ensure your Storybook will close, alternate position of photos, leave ¼” edge at center of page and print calendars on text weight paper not cardstock.

Instructions:
1. Cut Sparkle paper to 8 ¼ x 12. Trace stamp package sleeve scallops on one 8 ¼” side. Cut out & punch holes using a regular sized hole punch.
2. Using Mod Podge, adhere blue side of Chalk board paper to inside of front cover and wrap around the front (so you have a blue edge).
3. Adhere 8 ¼ x 8 Break Time paper with 1 x 8 black dot side of Break Time paper to front cover.
4. Adhere 8 ¼ x 12 Sparkle paper to cover with scallops on front left side.
5. Adhere 2” Daily Grind Woven Ribbon to inside of back cover.
6. Adhere 8 ¼ x 8 blue side of Chalk Board paper to inside of back cover.
7. Add chipboard, celebrate rub on s and blue ball trim as shown.
8. Print calendars from download pdf files above in the supply list.
9. Using Create-A-Calendar stamps, add months and adhere inside album.

Inside Front Page:
1. Adhere 7 ¾ x 8 Office Space paper to front page.
2. Glue green glitter transparency on 3 x 4 black & white photo and trim off excess transparency. Adhere to page. Add remaining transparency to inside cover page (lining up with front page)
3. Using Double Alpha rub on, your own handwriting and stamps (From the Garden Stamp set); add “Make every day a holiday and celebrate just living” quote.

March page:
1. Trim light blue strip from Daily Grind Strips paper and add to page about 1 ¼” up from bottom of page.
2. Add Celebrate circle rub ons to right side.
3. Stamp photo border and strip (From the Garden Stamp Set).
4. Add 2 ¾” x 4” photo in center of border stamp.
5. Add journaling and hand doodle border.

Finish the remaining months (examples below). Add your important dates and enjoy!
