Hello, it's Jennifer Larson, sharing a sketch I made and the layout and card that came from it.
My sketch is for an 8.5x11 page, specifically to scrap smaller, instagram-like square photos:
I made the following layout from the sketch:
Memories Captured patterned paper: Family Album / All Smiles / Snapshots / Chalked Art / Cards / Memories Captured embellishments: Button Set / Ephemera Pack / Decorative Bags / Decorative Tags / Tape Stickers / Sticker Fundamentals / Label Stickers / Flair / Cork Shapes Hearts and Stars / 3/4 inch Chalk Tape
I followed the general orientation for the sketch, adding more embellishments to the photo than the sketch included.
I also used a border punch to create a zigzag out of the chalk tape, using a white pen (Signo Uniball) to draw and outline on it.
Finally, just for interest I stitched the journaling lines instead of typing or drawing them.
The card I made from the sketch follows the same design:
Memories Captured patterned paper: Snapshots / Chalked Art / Cards / Memories Captured embellishments: Decorative Tags / Decorative Bags / Button Set / Tape Stickers / Cork Labels and Shapes Cork Stars
Because the card is so small, there was less white space, so I let the embellishments--the cork stars--fill the space that was there. I inked the edges of the background patterned paper to add a hint of black to match the chalkboard-like "thank you" I hand cut from the patterned paper. I also hand cut some stars from the tape sticker to add to the "thank you."
I'm so glad to be able to share this sketch and these projects with you! Have fun using the sketch, adapting it as you need for your projects--and when you do, post it to our Facebook page!- Jennifer
