Everyone loves a great 12x12 paper but have you stopped to explore all the fun things you can do with 6x6 pads as well? As the popularity of the 6x6 pads grows we can see they aren't just for card makers anymore. You get coordinating papers for a collection but the patterns are scaled down and that often makes them look like a whole new print.
Here's a page I did with two sheets of paper from the Etcetera 6x6 pad:
I used one of the super great Fancy Pants Designs cut files that you can find in the Silhouette store as a background for this page. It obviously also provides the title.

The 6x6 sheets are next to each other and used as a background area for my photos and main embellishments. I carefully placed my mats and photos in such a way to cover the line where the 6x6 pages met so you can't even tell they started smaller.
I also wanted to show you an example of using 6x6 pads on a card.
The smaller size is perfect for cards. Sometimes you just want a more subtle print for a small canvas. On this card I cut 1" strips and used them as detail behind my sentiment area. The neutral background mounted on the corrugate is also from the same 6x6 pad, but trimmed down.
This card doesn't actually open like a traditional card. I designed it flat but added a large coordinating envelope for a journaling tag. The tag background uses the same sheet of paper I trimmed the strips from... using 6x6 pads is very economical!
