It’s a busy time of year; it seems I always have a need for a gift card for an upcoming occasion : Graduations, Birthdays ect. I chose the fun cheery colors and design of the Trend Setter line to work with today!
The envelope makes a fun little holder for money or a gift card!
Here is the sketch I started with and based my card on.
I love the challenge of creating a card AND a layout from the same sketch, so here is my layout made from the same sketch design.
For the most part I scrap 8 ½ x 11 pages, but these sketch could easily be adapted for 12x12 also. I substituted the partial row of tags at the top of the page from the Price Tag paper for the scallop on the top of the sketch, and the photo on the layout for the envelope on the sketch and card.
When I’m creating with the different Fancy Pants lines I’m always so appreciative of the fact that the lines can be used in so many more ways than just their general theme.
On this layout the Trend Setter line worked great for a beach theme. I’m a Midwest girl, so I don’t get the ocean as often as I would like, and I LOVE it! So… I always say, “The Ocean is calling me”. When I saw that phone dial Flair button, I knew I had to use that as my titleJ
Trend Setter Brag Pad / Trend Setter Sticker Fundamentals / Trend Setter Label Stickers / Trend Setter Flair / Trend Setter Pattered Envelopes/ Trend Setter Button Set / Trend Setter paper Glamorous /Trend Setter Paper Classy / Trend Setter Paper Price Tag / Trend Setter Paper Digits
I’m hoping you find the sketch inspiring. Sometimes a sketch is just what I need to get me going, then the creativity flows. Sometimes it ends up being much different from the sketch, but that’s okay too…. It’s just meant to hopefully inspire. Enjoy!
