Hello, it's Jennifer Larson, sharing a darling product from Fancy Pants Designs : Patterned Photo Frames.
I love including many photos on my pages. However, I also love white space, so I often print smaller photos to fit more on. I also tend to print smaller photos nowadays because I take so many with my phone (especially when I am indoors in the winter), and the resolution is much better on those photos when I print them smaller. The patterned photo frames are a darling way to highlight several photos and make them extra special. Here's what I did:
Trendsetter Strips / Trendsetter Glamorous / Trendsetter Patterned Photo Frames / Trendsetter label stickers / Trendsetter Sticker Fundamentals / Trendsetter Button Set / Artist Edition 3x8 Pattern Stencil Set
I printed several photos 2x3 to fit inside the frames perfectly. Because the photo frames had such varied patterns on them, I housed the layout on a piece of off-white cardstock with some mist drips in mint green. This allowed the frame patterns to stand out without compteting with too many patterns.
To give the frames something to sit and hang on, I used a couple strips of patterned paper in between my two rows of photos:
I added variety to the page in a few ways. First, I alternated adding frames with dimensional stickers, overlapping them with neighboring frames:
Next, I hand stitched a frame within the patterned photo frame to highlight a particularly charming photo:
Finally, I used one of the stencils from the Artist Edition Collection to hand trace the pattern, then punch holes, then hand stitch a border. In case you were wondering, DMC 3801 is a perfect match for the deep coral pink in this collection!
Thank you for sharing my layout! I hope this gives you ideas for sing these darling frames!- Jennifer
