Hey guys! Laura Craigie here today, and I'm excited to share 5 different cards with you all!
I have three busy boys running around sometimes I don't get much time to craft and the perfect answer to starting and finishing a project in a short amount of time is a card. I like the feeling of completing my project in one sitting, and cards let me do that.
The first card I made uses only 3 Fancy Pants Designs products, the Brag Pad, Buttons, and corrugated paper. I simply adhered two strips of paper from the Park Bench Brag Pag, cut out a sentiment from another paper in the pad, and sewed them down. Then I added the buttons really quickly with glue dots to save time, and cut out a cute red heart from the corrugated paper for an additional pop of colour. Lastly I dripped some drop of gold mist over the card for a fun shimmery detail.
My second card also uses the Park Bench line but has a completely different color palette and feel to it. I started by adhering two different pattern papers to the card from, and covered their seam with a chevron border sticker. I added a tag at the bottom of the card to ground my sentiment. I used a sticker from the label sheet and adhered it with foam adhesive. The foam adhesive allowed my to poke two flag embellishments into them and keep them secured to the card. Lastly I added a banner and tab sticker to the top of the card and did some machine stitching.
For my third card I decided to stick with a neutral colour scheme and I started with a background script paper from the Swagger line. I chose a decorative bag from Etcetera and added two tags into the bag at different angles and adhered it to the front bottom of the card. Next I added a scrap of white card stock, and built the sentiment with a label sticker, and alpha stickers. My last touch for the card was an adorable star flair.
I thought for my next card I'd go a more simple route. The base of this card is just a few strips of scrap paper I had from Trend Setter line, nothing measures I just cut them in strips that looks pleasing to my eye and sewed them down. Next I punched out a few butterflies from a contrasting color of patterned paper and again sewed them down. Last I added an easy label sticker sentiment with foam adhesive for additional interest.
My last card looks like a lot more work that is really was. The background which looks like strips of different papers cut and placed together is actually one sheet from the Trend Setter Brag pad. Then I added two tags at an angle on the side of the card. With foam adhesive I adhered a large paper from and added a chipboard button to the centre. Lastly I used the adorable tiny letter stickers from the fundamental sticker sheet for a cute, easy title.
And just for fun, a side shot of all the cards.
Well that's all 5 cards, thanks so much for stopping by today, and have a great day!
