I hope you are all enjoying your day. I have a bright and cheerful page to share with you today.
I have used products from the Down by the Shore Collection. This is such a perfect collection for those beach days and by the pool. Summer is just about here in Southern California and boy does it get hot. These photos were actually taken in my front yard. The temperature hit about 100 degrees during my kids' Spring Break. So we turned on the sprinklers and let them play! So again, these papers are perfect for pretty much anything water related!
I'd like to share a few of my must haves when creating a layout.
For me I need papers with lots of colors. Whether it's pastels or brights I love to have a variety of different colors.
I love to have a few different shapes. I like to have a polka dot, some type of stripe, a particular pattern (flower, anchor etc.) It's nice to have a soild or 2 to break up the patterns. This even makes the patterns stand out more.
Down by the Shore Collection Kit, Down by the Shore Sticker Fundamentals, Down by the shore label stickers, Down by the Shore Clips, Down by the Shore Flair, Down by the Shore Button Set, Down by the Shore Rub Ons.
I have to have some different layers. I could go crazy with layers and matting.
I try to have at least 2 different embellishments. Buttons and Flair are my favorite. I love having different types of circles to accesnt the photos. Sometimes using the same material mbellishment but a different kind like these clips and the metal flairs.
When I glue my layouts I always put a squiggle in the center part of the back of the layer I'm guing down. This way I can lift the paper off the page creating a texture. I love when you can see the shadows of each layer and when the corners come off the page a little.
I hope you have enjoyed my layout and a few of my tips when I create a layout.
Have a wonderful day and I hope you will join us tomorrow!
