Good Monday Morning Fancy Pants Designs {and Tombow} Fans!
We are excited to be blog hopping this week with our fine friends over at Tombow! We love their adhesives and teamed up, again, to share more ideas with you using our Love Note collection! There are going to be lots of fun projects for you to whip up for Valentine's Day next week so be sure to stop in each day this week for ideas and drop in on Saturday for the chance to win FREE Fancy Pants Designs and Tombow products! Enjoy!
Today's project is brought to you by the talented Jess Mutty!
1. Cut two 3" x 10" strips of coordinating paper, fold them in half, and round off the open ends. At 1" and 2" cut straight lines up from the bottom about 3.5".
2. Begin weaving the two halves together: one strip fully inside and then fully outside the opposite strip as shown (not just over and under). You want the inside of the heart to fully open like a pocket when you are done. The third strip will take a bit of fussing and wiggling.
3. Adhere trim around the outside of the front of the heart. Build up a series of clustered and layered embellishments on one side of the heart using fussy cuts, stickers, die cuts, buttons and other coordinating pieces.
4. Cut a 2" strip of pink paper and border punch both sides. Cut a 1" strip of black check paper and gather it in a ruffle using a strip of permanent adhesive. Sew the ruffle down and adhere it to the center of the pink strip. Use permanent adhesive to attach the handle to the basket.
Now your paper heart basket is ready to fill and hang!
Well, I just LOVED this project that Jess created! It is so much fun and new little technique that comes in handy for loads for holidays, right?!!
We used a great mix of products Tombow sent over to us including different runners (the Tombow Stamp Runner is a fav of mine), Fastner Tabs and more! Tombow definitely knows adhesives! Be sure to check out what they done with our products over on the Tombow blog!
Thanks for stopping by and we'll see you all tomorrow!
