Hello Everyone! Today I’d like to share a little bit more about myself here with you. My name is Yuki Shimada, and I live in Japan with my wonderful husband and two teenage girls. I’ve been with Fancy Pants Designs since November 2010. The past 21 months as a Pocket Chick have been an exciting new challenge for me! I’m so honored to be today's Spotlighted Pocket Chick, and to be a part of such a talented team! I am so blessed to be working with such great people and products.
Before getting to answer the questionnaire, I’d like to share a little about my layout above with you. I created this page with the Country Boutique collection- it’s one of my all time favorites ❤ Do you know about the Fancy Friday Freebies? Please check it out! You can download the library card used on my page here, along with other fun art exclusively by Fancy Pants Designs.
Q: What is your favorite Fancy Pants product?
A: I would have to say the Filter Embellishments and Buttons. I love to make flowers with them. It’s hard to find my project without any buttons.
Q: What is your favorite technique?
A: Like many people, I’m addicted to my new die-cutting machine, Silhouette CAMEO, right now! I also love fussy cutting.
Q: How long have you been scrapbooking?
A: I started scrapbooking around 2006 but became much more serious about it in 2008 when I was on the Design Team of Color Combos Galore challenge blog and a Japanese scrapbooking store.
Q: Where do you find inspiration?
A: Home decor and lifestyle magazines, interior catalogs, greeting cards, store displays, delicate arrangement of Japanese food, colors of flower arrangements … everywhere!
Q: What time of day do you usually scrapbook and where?
A: I usually scrapbook in the early afternoon once all of my errands are done. I used to create in the middle of the night, but I have noticed a definite weight gain – I’m getting hungry as the night leads on.
Thanks for stopping by today. I’m looking forward to creating more for the Fancy Pants Designs!
