Layout Lift: Lisa & Betsy

Hello everyone! I hope you are all enjoying some fun summer crafting time! I am so excited to be doing a Layout Lift for the blog today! My inspiration came from this layout by design team member, Betsy Veldman:

While some “lifts” are done by copying the exact layout, I chose to “lift” the general idea of the photo collage and a few of the embellishment elements! I just really love the clean look of the photo collage, and I love the word strips on the banner in the corner!

I used the new Hopscotch line from Fancy Pants Designs—I just love the bright colors! They are perfect for any time of the year! The layout uses two 4”x6” photos and one 3”x4” photo. I used four 1-inch strips along the right side and bottom and wove them together in the lower corner to anchor the layout. This also provided a great background for the word strips from the sheet of Hopscotch Sticker Fundamentals—tons of words to choose from! Of course, I had to add some of my favorite Fancy Pants Buttons!





For my photo block, I used a piece cut to 9 ¼”x9”. I wanted to break it up a bit, so I punched a border and added it just under my 4”x6” photos. Layered banners and flags are all the rage right now and they are so quick and easy to punch from the Banner Die Cut Sheet! Curling the tips around a pen adds a little dimension and flair. I finished the top of the banners with a star sticker and a tab. I added my granddaughter’s name with the adorable mini alpha stickers, and finished up the layout with some flags, a title, her age and the year, all from Sticker Fundamentals sheet! 







I needed one more element to finish off this layout, and I just love the quote on the rub-on sheet from the Childish Things line! It was perfect!
