Hello Fancy Pants Designs friends! So happy to be here today ... surrounded by all good paper things. I've been designing and teaching paper crafts for over 12 years, mostly with Paper Crafts Magazine. For the past 3 years I've struck out on my own to teach & design my own paper (cards, albums, home dec) kits for your crafting pleasure! I also hang out at our local NBC affiliate here in Salt Lake City and do paper crafting and cooking segments for the number one ranked (shameless plug here) local lifestyle program, Studio 5.
Paper is the ultimate plaything ... the creative possibilities are endless. Sometimes, however, like the middle of summer, we're just too busy playing in the sun and ignoring our stash. Save your works of art for the winter months ... this summer, keep it simple. Fancy Pants Designs makes that easy with their coordinating collections of paper, die-cuts and embellishments.
My current paper crush is Country Boutique. Subtle patterns and colors make photos and embellishments pop. I especially love Fancy Pants Designs Buttons. Deeply saturated and a variety of sizes made these an easy addition to each of my projects today.
I keep and re-purpose every cute package that comes into my house. I'm seriously running out of room and need to start giving more away. Altering boxes is a dramatic way to use your paper. Simply cut to size, adhere well (stay as close to edges as possible) and sand off edges. I used the clock and ticket die-cut to finish this keepsake gift box.
I'm a card maker more than anything. Something about that sweet little canvas just begs to be filled. I kept this one very simple, just stamping a sentiment in the top corner of the die-cut file and adding a distressed flower, button and ric rac.
This should make someone I love pretty happy.
All three projects in just a few hours while it rained this morning (a pretty rare occurrence here in Utah.) Here's hoping you find a quiet moment this summer to touch bases with your creative side.
If you need more inspiration or would just like to visit, please stop by my blog.

Looking at the photo made me feel hungry all of a sudden! It looks so delicious and creamy. You could eat an entire plate of this. Hehe. Just don't forget to brush and clean your teeth afterwards. ;)
