I just love all of the little albums available right now! They are the perfect thing to take with you on vacations, or for documenting fun times! I have a quick and easy tutorial for creating your own little books full of fun tabs, journaling cards and more!
I started off by trimming 4 sheets of patterned paper to 10 x 7. I scored each piece down the center. I then added lots of different elements like journaling cards, strips, diecuts, etc. I made sure that each element was overlapping the scored line down the center. I used a bit of temporary adhesive to secure them in place until I got everything where I wanted it and stitched together.
Here's a shot at my pages. I even managed to incorporate some of the new Fancy Friday Freebie journaling cards...such fun! I allowed some of the elements to extend beyond the edge of the page so that they would stick out slightly when my book was finished.
After I had my pages how I wanted them, I stacked all of them up and secured them with some binder clips so I could stitch everything down that center score line.
Then I folded all of the pages on the stitched line and I started embellishing my cover and adding photos! I also added lots of tabs down the side.
When it's all put together, it's a fun little album...the small size is perfect for things like Instagram photos as well.
I'm anxious to add more photos and get our little summer album finished up, but here's a start!
