I love the muted colors with the b/w pic, it's such a soft LO, and so pretty.

Congrats on hitting 12,000!! My favorite part of the lift was the soft colors.... brings a whole different feel to the layout than having it bright and vibrant!

Congratulations to the winners!! Lucky ladies!!
I loved the Layout Lift post. Such a great idea! Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right!?!? I love the pennants on the layouts!!
Posted by: Tracey | July 25, 2012 at 11:44 AM
I really liked the stitching Jess added but also the fact that she kept the lift pretty true to the original. Both layouts were stunning! Also liked the fact that Jess mixed the B&W photo with the soft colours and patterns that did not overwhelm the picture. Nicely done!

Immediate reaction was that I loved that it was a masculine layout....always need ideas for those. Loved the pennants.....looked dimensional!
Congrats on hitting 12,000 likes!

I also love the toned down colors, the stitched banners and the black and white picture. Love how it totally changed the look of the layout. Cute and simple!

I love the various sizes and colors used in the flags, it gives the layout a lot of dimension.

The stitching. It is just the right touch.

I love how she used odds and ends from her chipboard collection. I love to use the things I have on hand, then I can buy more!

Congrats ladies!! I love the stitching detail on the banners in the layout!

The picture just pops. The muted colors are great.

Love how she stitched the pennants and how she used a black and white photo! Awesome layout!
Posted by: KellyG | July 25, 2012 at 11:51 AM
I LOVE the horizontal use of the banners in both and the stitching in the "lift!" :) Very simple & striking LO! :)

I love the stitching around the pennants. I don't have the patience to do that, but it finishes it off beautifully.
Posted by: Susan Frame | July 25, 2012 at 11:55 AM
Lucky ladies! Favorite part of the layout is all that stitching on the pennants/page, it's so perfect, and I also like that bit of twine that was wrapped around the one pennant. Perfect little touch.
Posted by: Miriam Prantner | July 25, 2012 at 11:56 AM
Fabulous layouts! I love the fact that even though Jess stayed really true to the original, her paper choices made the layout look completely different!

I like the use of muted colors. Adorable layout.
Posted by: Regina | July 25, 2012 at 11:59 AM
I loved the stiching finished the lift.
Posted by: Tracy Penrod | July 25, 2012 at 11:59 AM
My favorite part of the layout lift is the cute embellishments!
Posted by: Donna Gabbard | July 25, 2012 at 11:59 AM
I love she used the horizontal banners and general sense of the page but softened it and made it a very sweet but masculine page.
Posted by: Jen | July 25, 2012 at 12:01 PM
I love the stitching, I am trying to add stitching onto my LO's and always good to see what others do, might even give it a go :)
Gorgeous LO
