Today, I wanted to share a couple of different ways to use the Glitter Cuts from the Be You Collection. The Glitter Cuts pack includes many different designs all on a transparency sheet. They are easy to punch out from the sheet, and can easily be cut to create your own unique embellishments.
First, I created a scrapbook page with a simple glitter flower cut. I used it as the main embellishment on my page. I do love taking a pre-made embellishment, and changing it up a bit to make it my own. In this instance, I cut the top of the flower, and cut the inside of the bloom using an exacto knife. It does have a pretty blue pattern in the inside, but in this case I wanted it to be open in the middle. Also, because I cut the top of the flower off, I am now able to position it in a different way onto my page. I also love that the cuts have a glitter finish to them, without the "actual" glitter.
For my second project, I embellished a mason jar using the same Glitter Cuts. Mason jars seem to be a hot trend right now, and I think they make for the perfect container to tuck in cookies, or a special treat. Who would not want to receive this adorable jar? The Be You collection is full of bold designs, and vibrant color. I began with cutting a strip of the patterned paper, and placed it in the inside of the jar. The glitter hearts are perfect embellishments to add dimension to the outside of the jar ... The Glitter Cuts can be cut, and they are so easy to punch through. I punch a small hole, and tied the large glitter heart from string. I love tags, and the glitter cuts are perfect hanging from this jar. I did tuck in one small heart in there as well, for one last finishing detail.
