So, how is everyone enjoying our Pocket Chick's creations? Well, we have more to share with you and this time we're using Summer's End—a lovely mix of peach sherbert, lacey doilies, soft agua, mellow grey and classy florals, with a hit of lemon chiffon. Doesn't that sound delicious? Take a look at Summer's End...
So Very Thankful for You 2 by Amy Peterman
Oh my goodness! I can't get over this gorgeous collection! Jodi knocked it out of the park with this one. So much to love about it ... the doilies, the colors, and those printed Filter Embellishments ... I loved pairing them with the Strips paper (which I cut the little doily banner from). Perfection!
Feast by Leah Farqharson
Leah says,"I really enjoy cooking—in fact, I called it a career for a few years, working as a baker and then chef and kitchen manager at a small local college, and then a dessert/salad station manager at a gourmet Italian restaurant. I did everything from bake bread, to chopping fresh herbs and garnishes, to coordinating special events complete with flowers, linens and a staff to manage. I loved the work—but when I realized that in order to go farther, I'd end up spending the rest of my holidays and evenings working, I decided to give it up. I still enjoy using the skills I've gained to make great food for my friends and family, though! This is a photo my husband snapped of me while I was working on a homemade brine for our turkey this past thanksgiving. It was well worth the effort!"
Boys by Pamela Young
Pamela explains, "On this layout I cut up the Cards sheet of paper and created a background with it. I also added the flowers from the "Growing" piece of paper but put them upside down instead like they were hanging there."
Fall In Love With You Everyday by Trish Harwick
Trish says, "Wow! This collection is truly gorgeous! The patterns are definately Fall, but the colors were unexpectedly versatile! This collection is perfect for those end of the Summer photos, as well as the first day of school! I had these fall pictures of my youngest daughter wearing an orange dress which I had been wrestling with scrapping; the Summer's End collection ended up being perfect!"
The Love of a Family by Greta Hammond
Greta says, "I love the slightly muted colors in this line. My fall photos are typically vibrant colors and these papers and patterns make a nice backdrop which doesn't compete. I also adore the long legged birds and knew I had to find a spot for them!"
So Very Thankful by Guiseppa Gubler
Guiseppa says, "Summer's End has to be my favorite of all of the new winter releases. Not only is it perfect for fall photos, but the colors in this collection would work for any themed photos. I am thankful for many things in my life, but Sam has to be the one I am most thankful for. I love that this collection helped me to create a memorable layout of us."
So Tweet by Suzanne Sergi
Suzanne shares, "This collection is absolutely gorgeous! You have to see it in person, to appreciate the soft color palette. It is modern, and is full of gorgeous little details on the papers. The name of this collection is perfect, and helps to capture those last bits of summer moments. Here I documented sweet photos of my little girl, doing just this very thing! I really wanted to capture her sweet personality. I decided to use the doily as a bold statement on my page. Perfect match for Macie's colorful personality!"
So Very Thankful by Vicki Chrisman
Vicki says, "Oh... who doesn't love this color combo?? *LOVE* This was such a fun line to work with! I really enjoy adding dimension to my layouts, and realized after finishing this layout, that other than a few buttons, all my dimension came from the paper pieces alone. I love that. The paper and a few foam squares did all the work :) I can't wait to do some altered projects with this gorgeous line."
Live Laugh Love by Jen Martakis
Jen says, "I. am. in. love. Really, I am. This collection is gorgeous. I adore the color scheme. The patterns are perfect and the elements are so much fun!"
Pasta Bar Night by Allison Landy
Allison says, "Summer's End is just about the most perfect line to play with as our summer days dwindle into fall. We have transition clothes for seasons, why not transition scrapbook products? I love how this line supports that feeling of being in between the crispness and richness of fall with the energy of summer. It's soft and sweet, but yet still so full of life. The papers were perfect to showcase just such life as I wanted to capture the fun of a recent party hosted by one of my girlfriends. I particularly love the creaminess of the line. The base paper I used for this layout is such a gorgeous shade of golden-y krafty goodness. I almost wanted to eat it, it looked so delish!"
So, now are you as in love with this line as I am? Need more inspiration? Well, come back again tomorrow for some Christmas in July with projects created with Saint Nick!
