Hello and happy 2011 to everyone! Allison here with my Pocket Chick Pick from our Fancy Pants gallery on Facebook. My pick comes from Deanna Woodland whose layout immediately caught my eye with all of its fun little details. I loved her use of smaller sized photos that, when grouped together, told a fun story of her holidays.
'Tis The Season by Deanna Woodland
This past fall I attended an author's release party and met Diana Gabaldon (of the Outlander series). I knew I wanted to use almost all the photos to share my evening's experience.

Taking a hint from Deanna, I went ahead and printed my pictures smaller so I could get them all on my layout and tell the entire story from dinner with friends to getting the author's autograph.
I also liked the way Deanna's stitching framed the corner of her layout. For my version I dug into my stash of die cut felt and transparency overlays. A few added embellishments from the Hot Chocolate and My Family lines and voila!

OMG Im sooo jealous you got to meet Diana Gabaldon! I loved that series! Can't wait for the next book to come out so I can find out what happens to Clare and Jamie! Love the layouts too BTW!
