Hello everyone! Here we are in October already. Halloween is just around the corner. So today I thought I would show you how to create this fun Halloween banner. Using the template, with a mix of Fancy Pants papers, buttons, and chipboard, you'll be able to whip one up in no time.
Fancy Pants Supplies:
Rusted Sun- Pool Party
Rusted Sun- Petals in the Sand
Rusted Sun- Sunrise
3 Papers from the Artist Edition Memo Notebook
Chipboard Alphas
Stamp (flourish)
Assorted buttons
Other Supplies:
Ink
floss
wiggly eyes
Below is the template for the (6) pennant pieces you will need to cut out to create your banner. (Approx. size is 4x6)
1. Print off your template and cut it out. You can now use this as a pattern to cut from your other papers. In the supply list below, you can see the papers I used to cut my pennant pieces from. You will need to trace and cut out pennants from 6 different papers. The dotted line on the template shows you where you will fold it, to make a space for your ribbon to go through.
2. After cutting each piece, fold over the top edge to create a place for your ribbon to go through. I chose to machine stitch mine down, but if you chose not to stitch, using an adhesive will work just fine also. (I added machine stitching with black thread around each piece as an added decorative element).
3. This is where you really get to have fun! Decorate your banner pieces with stamps, buttons, etc. I used large black buttons to create spiders by adding paper legs and wiggly eyes. I used my black ink pad to color my chipboard letters before adding them to each individual pennant piece.
4. Now all you have left to do is string your pennant pieces onto your ribbon. A helpful tip: tying a paper clip or safety pin to the end of your ribbon will make it much easier to work through each of your pennant pieces.
Now you are all ready to hang up your "Spooky" banner and get ready for your little trick-or-treaters!
Happy Creating!

Very fun & I agree that one for Halloween & one for Christmas would be a great idea. I like the different shape. Thanks so much - yours is wonderful as all your things are.
