Today Staci Taylor shows us how to make a fun banner that can be used for any occasion. Although Staci made hers for Father's Day, this could easily be adapted for a birthday or another fun celebration.
Supplies
Like Father Like Son papersKraft Kuts Alpha Stickers
Metal frames
star template in small and large size (Staci downloaded hers from the internet. Many computer programs have a star shape or symbol you could print for your templates.)
raw chipboard sheets
felt
ribbon
hole punch
sand paper
Instructions
1. Using the small star templates, cut out 10 small stars and one large star from chipboard.
2. Use the templates to cut out pieces of patterned paper from the Like Father Like Son collection to cover six of the small chipboard stars, as well as the large chipboard star. For the other four stars use plain white paper so that your children can be involved and decorate some stars, as well.
3. Once the stars are covered, use sand paper to rough up the edges of the stars with patterned paper. Embellish the large star with letter stickers and felt. Print out photos to place inside the metal frames and hang those from the bottom of the star.
4. Lastly, punch holes on the side of each star and attach the stars with ribbon. Once the stars are all strung, hang banner. You could adjust the amount of stars to make the banner longer or shorter depending on where you wish to hang it.
