For today's Fancy This project, Staci Taylor made this cute, girlie sign for the outside of her
daughter's door. This sign is easy to make, and it only requires a few supplies.
Mixed Media Square Album (1 of the acrylic sheets from kit)
Road Show: French Press patterned paper
About a Girl: Bella Flocked Transparency
About a Girl: Cardstock letter stickers
butterfly punch or butterfly die for diecut machine
sewing machine
ribbon
hole punch
Instructions:
1. Trim French Press paper to the same size as the acrylic sheet - 8x8. Sew the paper to the back of the acrylic.
2. Determine where you want to place your words, and punch as many butterflies as needed to fill in the space around my words. Staci punched most of them from the Bella paper, but also punched a few butterflies from the flocked transparency to add a punch of color and texture.
3. Place letter stickers down and sew around them to create a frame. Staci put a bit of adhesive on the back of each butterfly, and then sewed down the center of each butterfly for extra support, allowing her
to pop up the butterfly wings to add dimension to the sign.
4. Punch holes in top edge. Thread ribbon through holes and tie in knots.

Really beautiful project, I love the letter stickers :)

Love this! Of course I do, my name means 'butterfly', so I have a thing for them. I hope Chloe loves it too!
